Abstract

Visitors to beach tourism in Wonogiri Regency are still domiciled by local tourists because there are still many beaches in Wonogiri Regency that do not yet have facilities and infrastructure so that it is necessary to study their internal and external potential and develop strategies for developing tourist objects. This study aims to analyze internal and external potentials and develop strategies for developing coastal tourism objects in Wonogiri Regency. The methods used in conducting research are surveys, observations, and interviews. The results showed that the internal potential of beach tourism objects in Wonogiri district consisted of Nampu Beach having a high level of potential classification, while Semburan Beach, Kali Mirah, Jujugan Wetan, Puyangan and Klotok had a moderate level of potential classification, and Waru Beach and Karang Payung had a moderate level of potential classification. low potency classification. In contrast to the results of the external potential classification, Nampu Beach has a high classification level, Semmbuhan Beach has a medium classification level, and Waru, Karang Payung, Kali Mirah, Jujugan Wetan, Puyangan and Klotok Beaches have a low classification level. The development strategy based on the results of the SWOT analysis is to develop and support tourism that has potential, carry out good management and planning, and improve the infrastructure available at tourist objects, increase promotion by optimizing the natural potential and uniqueness of each tourist attraction, as well as increasing the involvement of local communities in managing tourism objects. Furthermore, the research results are presented using the GIS application in the form of internal and external potential maps of beach tourism objects in Wonogiri Regency.
