Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence of learning independence on student achievement, the influence of parents' attention on student achievement, as well as the influence of independence and parental attention on student achievement of the accounting education study program of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta Class of 2020. This research uses quantitative research with a survey design. Samples were taken using the Isaac and Michael model of 65 students using a simple random sampling method. data analysis using multiple regression tests, t tests, F tests, and effective contribution tests. From the analysis obtained the equation of the regression line obtained is Y = 0.758 + 0.315 X1 + 0.322 X2. Based on the t test for X1, the calculation of the ttabel > was obtained, which was 2,114 > 1,999 and the effective contribution (SE) was 9.2%. This means that learning independence (X1) affects student achievement (Y). Based on the t test for X2, the calculation of the ttabel > was obtained, which was 2.151 > 1.999 and the effective contribution (SE) was 9%. This means that parental attention (X2) affects student achievement (Y). Based on the results of the F test, it is known that Fhitung>Ftabel, which is 6,877 > 3,150 and an effective contribution of 18.2%. This means that learning independence (X1) and parental attention (X2) together affect student achievement (Y).
