Abstract
Cashless payment systems are increasingly being used in transactions. Apart from being more practical, easier, and faster, cashless payment system also influences money supply. The purpose of this study was to estimate the effect of cashless payment system and the inflation rate on money supply (M1) in Indonesia from 2010-2020, both in the short and long term using the Partial Adjustment Model (PAM) regression. The regression results showed that the variables that had a positive effect on the money supply in Indonesia from 2010-2020 were the nominal debit card and e-money transactions, while the nominal credit card transactions had a negative effect on the money supply in Indonesia from 2010-2020. Meanwhile, the inflation rate had no effect on the money supply. It is hoped that the government can improve coordination with Bank Indonesia regarding the Nasional Cashless Movement (GNNT) to create better innovation and service.
