Abstract
The cultivation of character education in students can be given through learning. This study aims to analyze the content of character education values contained in the revised 2018 edition of the sixth grade student book. This research method uses a qualitative approach with the types of content analysis research and content analysis design. The researcher is the key instrument in this research, the object being studied is the 2013 curriculum thematic book for students with the theme of unity in diversity. The results showed that the value of character education is contained in the activities Let's Read, Let's Discuss, Let's Observe, Let's Create, Let's Try, Let's Practice, Let's Write, and Let's Reflect. Of the 18 values of character education there are 10 characters contained in the thematic books, the values of character education include: (1) Honest Values, (2) Creative Values, (3) Independent Values, (4) Responsibility Values, (5) Values Curiosity, (6) Value of Appreciating Achievement, (7) Value of Friendly/Communicative, (8) Value of Love to Read, (9) Value of Caring for the Environment, (10) Value of Love for the Motherland.“
