Abstract
The Al-Quran Tafsir Council is one of the foundations that aims to invite people to practice Islamic teachings in accordance with the guidance of the Qur'an and Sunnah. The Majlis Tafsir Al-Quran (MTA) does not only focus on the scope of its da'wah, with the current economic development, the Majlis Tafsir Al-Quran is able to develop and compete in the field of sustainable economy with a different business model from others. Foundation to continue to grow to advance the Indonesian economy by alleviating poverty. This study aims to determine the description of the business model in the Al-Quran Tafsir Council when viewed from the aspects of the canvas development business model and to find out the appropriate strategic framework business model and recommended to be applied in the business being run and to know the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in its application to business model canvas. In formulating strategies, researchers must use a business model canvas consisting of nine models namely, customer relations (customer relations), key partners (main partnerships), value propositions (value proportions), customer segments (customer segments), channels (channels),revenue streams (revenue streams), key resources (key resources), key activities (key activities) and cost structures (cost structures). This study uses a qualitative method with analysis using the business model canvas. Data collection techniques using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Al-Quran Tafsir Council has basically implemented a business model canvas and alternative strategies with a business model canvas model.
