Abstract

The current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, it has had a major impact, including face-to-face learning activities from all state and private universities. This has resulted in learning activities for students being shifted to online lectures, including practicum course programs. The use of technology has enabled the emergence of distance learning and encourages greater innovation in creating teaching methods inside and outside the classroom. When online practicums are conducted, there are often differences of opinion between one assistant and another, then the material presented is not understood by the practitioner because it is only via video only. With online lectures, mental health problems that arise due to the COVID-19 pandemic can develop into health problems that can last a long time and have the potential to cause a heavy social burden. Practitioners and practicum assistants in carrying out the Integrated Practicum of Industrial Engineering Design. This research was conducted using the NASA-TLX method. The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for improvement to reduce the level of mental workload of students who carry out online practicum at UMS Industrial Engineering
