Abstract
Obesity is a condition of an imbalance between height and weight due to the amount of excess body fat tissue. Obesity is thought to be a risk factor for non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, stroke and heart attack. Heart disease is the number one cause of death in adults. Deaths caused by vascular disease, especially coronary heart disease and stroke, continue to increase. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, perception of obesity and coronary heart disease with coronary heart disease prevention behavior. This observational research was carried out with a cross sectional approach. The research population was all female students of SMA N Punung Pacitan. Sampling using simple random sampling with the number of respondents 135 people. The data collection technique was carried out online with a research instrument in the form of an e-questionnaire using the google form application. Analysis of correlation data using Spearman Rank. The findings of this study indicate that there is no relationship between knowledge about coronary heart disease and behavior to prevent coronary heart disease (p = 0.552). But there is a relationship between the perception of obesity with coronary heart prevention behavior (p = 0.001). Researchers hope that each school can be a place for students to increase knowledge about PTM from a young age and are expected to carry out physical activity and weight control in order to reduce the risk of coronary heart disease from an early age.
