Abstract
The diesel engine is an internal combustion engine that uses the heat of compression to create ignition and burn the fuel that has been injected into the combustion chamber. During the combustion process in the cylinder, the power generated by the combustion gases is very high. If the piston and its fittings are unable to withstand the explosive power of the combustion process, it is certain that the piston and connecting rod can be damaged. The main bearing or sliding bearing serves to support the load from the shaft, because it always receives friction loads, it does not rule out wear and tear. The connecting rod component is a component that receives high mechanical and heat loads due to combustion products. Connecting rods that receive pressure from combustion will get the maximum load which if they don't get proper treatment they will easily be damaged. For example, connecting rods experience noise or noise caused by sliding bearings experiencing a reduction in their surface area.
