Abstract

Rice is a staple food in several Asian countries, especially in Indonesia. To store the food, it is necessary to have a storage area in the form of a certainclosed place so that it is not attacked by pests and the humidity is also maintained. For this reason, a tool is designed that is useful for monitoring food stocks, temperature, humidity based on Internet of things. This tool uses several main components such as NodeMCU, DHT11 sensor, servo motor and ultrasonic sensor. and humidity in the rice storage area, and the servo motor is used to open and close the valve on the rice outlet with 3 different variables. The working principle is that when an item's stock runs out or is almost out, this tool will provide a signal or notification to smartphone in real time, that the availability of the item is running out or almost running out and the DHT11 sensor itself will detect the temperature and humidity of the rice storage area, Temperature in a closed room. get a value of 28,00% with a Humidity of 68,00% while in a room with good air circulation and a room exposed to direct sunlight it gets a Temperature value of 28,90% with a Humidity of 64,00%. Then a valve is designed which will open and close the outlet of the rice which has 3 different variables, namely Low (150 grams), Medium (300 grams), and High (450 grams), this tool requires a blynk application that functions to control NodeMCU via the internet. So this tool will monitor the Temperature, Humidity, and volume of rice in the storage area in addition to adding a servo motor as an opening and closing valve.
