Abstract
Poverty is a condition that involves the inability to meet the minimum needs in life, especially in terms of consumption and income. This study aims to analyze the effect of the human development index, consumption, investment, and provincial minimum wage on poverty in Indonesia in 2020. The type of data is secondary data in 2020. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression with the ordinary least square (OLS) method. The data used is cross section data consisting of 33 provinces in Indonesia in 2020. The results of data analysis show that the data is normally distributed, linear model, there is no multicollinearity and there is no heteroscedasticity problem. The results of the t test show that the human development index, investment, and the provincial minimum wage have an effect on poverty. The estimated model exists at α = 0,01. Furthermore, the model exists and the coefficient of determination is 76.08%, meaning that 76.08% of the variation in the poverty variable can be explained by the human development index, consumption, investment, and provincial minimum wage variables. The rest, 23.92%, is explained by other independent variables not included in the model.
