Abstract
This study aims to determine the performance members of student organizations of University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta during the Covid-19 pandemic. The aspects studied in this study are the situation before and during the pandemic, the impact of the pandemic, factors affecting the performance of student organizations, and solving student organization problems. The informants used in this study were selected based on purposive sampling techniques, namely 4 students who became the general chairperson of student organizations in University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This research is a qualitative research using narrative methods, then data collection is carried out by interviewing. The results showed that the entire organization followed by respondents experienced a decrease in performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is due to problems in the performance aspects, namely quantity, quality, punctuality, and attendance/contribution. In addition to performance aspects, external factors and internal factors also affect organizational performance. In addition to performance aspects, external factors and internal factors also affect organizational performance. Internal factors relate to human resources limitations, lack of member contributions, members who are not responsible for their duties, and members who bring personal problems into the realm of the organization that have the potential to cause problems in the organization. External factors that affect the performance of the organization are in the form of instructions from the campus that prohibit the implementation of organizational activities offline, insufficient income of funds, and non-disbursed inventarits / organization funds.
