Abstract

This study aims (1) to analyze the form and meaning of deixis used in the expression on the back of a truck. (2) Describe the form of errors in the use of Indonesian language in the expression of truck transportation. (3) Explaining the use of deixis in the expression of truck transportation as a learning material for Indonesian language in basic competencies 3.1 and 4.1 class VIII in junior high school. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This study seeks to explore the use of deixis and the use of spelling in expressions written by the driver on the back of his truck. The object of research is deixis and spelling to find out the form and meaning and their relevance in learning Indonesian in junior high school. The data of this study in the form of sentences containing deixis in the tailgate have been found on social media, especially on the Facebook account @Ardiyana Rizky. The data sources of this research are all sentences that contain elements of deixis and the use of Indonesian spelling. The data collection technique in this study used the note-taking and documentation method. Test the validity of the data using triangulation theory. The data analysis technique in this study used the meaning method and the agih method. The results showed that there were five forms of deixis found in the expression on the back of the truck, namely personal deixis, time deixis, place deixis, social deixis, discourse deixis and six forms of usage errors, namely errors in using commas, errors in using italics, errors in word writing. , capitalization errors, rephrasing errors, and prefix errors. This research is also relevant as a teaching material for Indonesian language class VIII SMP in accordance with KD 3.1 and 4.1 regarding discussion texts.
