Abstract

This research was conducted to reveal criminal acts related to motorized vehicles and what factors influence what strategies are used by the National Police in discriminating against criminal acts related to motor vehicles through the registration and identification process at Samsat Karanganyar, this type of research is a descriptive qualitative research. This research was conducted in the Karanganyar Regency area, precisely in Samsat Karanganyar. The data collection technique in this study is through a number of direct information from the speakers and also library references in the form of research results that are relevant to the problem under study. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study show that (1) The registration and identification process of motorized vehicles carried out in Samsat Karanganyar can reveal criminal acts, (2) There are several factors and strategies that influence the disclosure of criminal acts related to motor vehicles through the registration and identification process, (3) In Islamic Law a criminal act is said to be a criminal act only if it is an act prohibited by syari’at.
