Abstract
Indonesia's foreign debt continues to increase every year. This has become a very large foreign debt burden for the Indonesian state. This study aims to analyze inflation, economic growth, budget deficit and government spending partially and simultaneously on foreign debt in Indonesia. The type of data in this study is secondary data in the form of time series data from 1997 to 2019. The independent variables in this study are inflation, economic growth, budget deficits, and government spending, while the dependent variable is foreign debt. The analytical method used in this study is the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study indicate that the variables of inflation and economic growth have a significant negative effect, while the budget deficit and government spending have a significant positive effect on foreign debt. From the regression results, the R-Square value is 0.976783, this illustrates that the independent variables in this study are able to provide an explanation of the dependent variable of 97% while 3% are influenced by other variables outside this study.
