Abstract
In Indonesia, the results in the achievement of the current educational process are still not satisfactory. The proof is that the PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) ranking for Indonesia's position has decreased. Not supporting the learning media is one of the causes of the lack of student achievement in the field of mathematics. In order for learning to be more interesting and fun to learn during the teaching and learning process, teachers must have the right choice in using learning media. Therefore, in increasing interest in learning and attractiveness of students learning media must be developed, one of which is by using animation media in learning. This study aims to develop a HOTS-based mathematics learning media using animation for the introduction of geometric shapes. In developing this media, the software used is Adobe Flash CS6. The media created by the researcher is feasible to use, this is evidenced by the results of student questionnaires, material experts, and media experts whose results are: 1) The results of the interpretation test with a value of 0.87% from media experts are said to be very feasible, (2) The results of the test interpretation with a value of 0.80 from material experts is said to be feasible, (3) The results of the interpretation test with a value of 69.33% of 32 students are said to be feasible.
