Abstract

To limit the discussion of the problems that are present in analyzing the study of pop literature formulas and educational values in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, the researchers formulate the formulation of the problem as follows: 1. What is the structure of the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk? 2. What is the formula for pop literature used in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk so that the novel has the interest of readers in Indonesia? 3. What are the educational values that can be learned in the literary work of the Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel?. The objectives to be achieved from this research are to:1. Describe the structure of the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. 2. Describe the use of formulas used in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk as part of the popular literature subgenre according to Cawelti's pop literary formula theory 3. Describe the educational values that can be learned from the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. The benefits of this research can be practical and theoretical which are intended for teachers, students, and literary connoisseurs. The researcher hopes that by examining the pop literature formula in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, which is broadly a qualitative research, it can enrich the repertoire of literary research in Indonesia. Furthermore, adding information that can be useful for students, teachers, and literary connoisseurs in reviewing a literary work. Finally, increasing insight in the knowledge of pop literature formulas that are useful as references and references for popular literature research in the future.
