Abstract
Economic growth is one measure of the success of economic development. Economic growth has a fundamental role in the development of a region. This study aims to analyze the effect of population, human development index (IPM), city minimum wage (UMK), and regional spending on economic growth. The data used in this study is quantitative data in the form of secondary data combined with time series and cross sections from 2015-2019, which was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data used include data on economic growth, population, human development index, city minimum wages and regional expenditures in 6 cities in Central Java Province. Based on the results of panel data analysis, it shows that the district/city minimum wage (UMK) variable has a significant positive effect on economic growth, while the variables of population, human development index (IPM) and regional expenditures do not have a significant effect on economic growth in cities in Central Java. 2015-2019 years.
