Abstract
Bulldozer is a heavy equipment unit that is used to displace, excavate, and push soil and materials in industry or projects. The performance of this unit is very dependent on its undercarriage components, this is because it can affect the performance of the bulldozer. One of the components of the undercarriage is the track link, if it is damaged, the productivity of the bulldozer will decrease when operating in the work environment. So the need for gradual maintenance so that the track link is always in good condition, when the unit will be used. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of track link damage, the causes of track link damage, and how to repair the track link on the Komatsu D65P-7 bulldozer unit. The implementation is carried out visually on the track link and followed by disassembly and then assembly to find out the damage to the track link. From the results of the disassembly process, the track link bulldozer was damaged, namely wear and tear so that the rotational power of the sprocket could not be channeled optimally to move the unit. The track link damage is caused by setting the track link too tight or too loose, the terrain the unit goes through when operating, and what is certain is the age factor of the track link itself. The way to repair the worn track link is to replace the damaged track link component with a new track link. Preventive actions can be taken by carrying out preventive maintenance procedures, and daily checks on the bulldozer unit.
