Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) To determine the effect of motivation on employee performance. 2) To determine the effect of the work environment on employee performance 3) To determine the effect of motivation and work environment on employee performance. This research is a type of quantitative research. The population in this study were all employees of Pt Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Tbk Jepara Branch as many as 40 employees. The data taken was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The previous questionnaire was piloted and tested for validity and reliability testing. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, F test, t test, coefficient of determination, relative contribution and effective contribution.. The results showed that: 1) Motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. It is known that the t-count result is greater than ttable 2.287 > 2.024 and the significance value is 0.028 <0.05, the effective contribution is 10.8% and the relative contribution is 48. 8%. 2) The work environment has a negative and significant effect on employee performance. It is known that the t-count result is greater than ttable -2.323 > 2.024 with a significance value of 0.026 <0.05, an effective contribution of 11.3% and a relative contribution of 51.2%. 3) Motivation and work environment have a simultaneous effect on employee performance. The results obtained are f count > ftbale, namely 5.234 > 3.25 with a significance value of 0.010 <0.05. The coefficient of determination in this study is 0.221%, which means that employee performance is influenced by motivation and work environment variables by 22.1%, while the remaining 77.9% is influenced by other variables not examined.
