Abstract
PT Dua Kelinci Tortilla Division is a manufacturing company that produces snacks in the form of processed grains and processed foods consisting of various shapes and flavors. The problem that occurs is the engine damage that is uncertain when the damage occurs so that it experiences a considerable downtime on the packing machine, this greatly affects the effectiveness of production. Efforts to improve the effectiveness of machine work can be done by observation and analysis to determine the priority evaluation of the application of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) using the value of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and six big losses as indicators and look for the causes of ineffectiveness of the packing machine. The conclusion obtained after the calculation of OEE and analysis of six big losses is the current OEE value of 54%. The breakdown loss factor is the biggest factor that affects the effectiveness of the engine at 20%. To find out the factors causing breakdown losses, an analysis was carried out using a fishbone diagram and FMEA. Proposed improvement to preventive maintenance and making maintenance procedures for inspecting every component.
