Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between anxiety with academic procrastination of students in doing thesis . The hypothesis in this study is that there is a relationship anxiety with academic procrastination of students in doing thesis. The population in this study is students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who are doing thesis as many as 33 people. Sampling techniques in this study use purposive sampling method, which is sampling technique based on certain criteria. This research uses quantitative approach with procrastination as dependent variable (Y) and anxiety as independent variable (X). Data collection in this study uses procrastination scale as well as anxiety scale. Data analysis method uses product moment analysis using assumption test which includes normality test and linearity test. The results of hypothetical test analysis for procrastination variable and anxiety variable are seen from Sig 2 tailed value of 0.000<0.001 each with correlation coefficient value of 0,721 which means there is a positive significant relationship between anxiety and procrastination.
