Abstract
This study was conducted to analyze the variables that affect the Local Own-Source Revenue (PAD) in the former Surakarta Residency. The value of PAD is one of the determining factors for the success or development of the region at the regional level. This study focuses on the effect of the variable number of tourists, domestic investment (PMDN) and gross regional domestic product (GRDP) on PAD in 2015-2019. By using Panel Data Regression analysis method which is a combination of time series and cross section with Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The type of data used is secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency. The results of this study indicate that the variable number of tourists and domestic investment has no significant effect on local revenue (PAD). Meanwhile, the gross regional domestic product variable has a significant positive effect on local revenue (PAD). Local governments should continue to increase revenue by maintaining the rate of GRDP by optimizing the resources they have. In the Islamic perspective, PAD that can be used optimally will be able to encourage human welfare, by providing protection to faith, life, reason, lineage and wealth owned by every human being. Whatever ensures the protection of these five issues will serve the public interest, the benefit of which lies in perfect justice, and wisdom.
