Abstract

Composite is a mixture of two or more materials which are expected to have better mechanical properties than the constituent materials. Composites generally consist of two parts, namely the matrix as a protector and binder and filler material. Tensile testing is carried out by pulling the specimen until it breaks to determine the stress, strain, and modulus of elasticity using an instron tensile machine with a maximum tensile strength of 3 tons. The shape and dimensions of the tensile test specimens refer to the ASTM 638-04 standard. The compressive strength test was carried out by applying a pressure load to the specimen according to ASTM standards. Palm fiber waste and blood clam shells were made into particleboard composites used in automotive interiors. Using both materials because the potential of the material is very wasteful and the price is also economical. And by being used as a particleboard composite, it is hoped that it can increase the selling value of the two wastes and can create environmentally friendly products, especially in the automotive sector. .To determine the effect of the mass ratio of palm fiber and palm fiber on the physical and mechanical properties of particle board in automotive interiors of palm fiber and blood clam shells.
