Abstract

The limitation of learning media during a pandemic makes the need for learning media during a pandemic messengers or information to assist students in developing statistical problem solving skills, this can use interactive multimedia based on google sites. This study aims to describe the use of interactive multimedia based on google sites on the subject of statistics on problem solving skills. This study also describes statistical problem solving skills after using interactive multimedia based on google sites in grade VI Elementary School. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research with a research approach, namely case studies. The object of this research is the teacher who teaches mathematics with statistical material and the subject of this research is the 24th grade students at SDIT MTA Matesih. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study are (1) interactive multimedia is able to describe statistical problem solving skills in class VI students of SDIT MTA Matesih. This is evidenced by the value of student activity, and the value of the test results of statistical problem solving skills (2) The application of interactive multimedia based on google sites can describe problem solving skills in statistics subjects which refers to four indicators, including 1) understanding the problem; 2) planning solutions; 3) implementation of the settlement in accordance with the plan, and 4) review. With the help of interactive multimedia, students are trained to build their knowledge independently. Interactive media act as tutors who ask questions that guide students to understand concepts.
