Abstract

Recently, e-learning has become an alternative learning used by several national educational institutions, considering that at the beginning of 2020, the Covid-19 virus outbreak had shocked the world. Since learning from home has been implemented, it has become a challenge for school principals to improve the quality of education. The sudden spread of the Covid-19 virus has resulted in social changes that have caused stuttering in the process of adjusting learning activities. That's why online learning must be done in order to achieve ideal learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation and evaluation of online learning at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. This research is a type of qualitative research. The sources of data for this study were the principal, vice principal of the curriculum, teachers and the school's IT team. While secondary data are related documents about online learning. Research data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews and study documentation. Furthermore, the data collected was tested for validity using method triangulation and source triangulation techniques. Then the data were analyzed using data reduction methods, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that, 1). The planning stage begins with the principal's meeting with the school development team then socialized to the teacher's meeting, then the results of the meeting are socialized to parents and students 2). Implementation of online learning using LMS 3). Evaluation of online learning is carried out by the principal together with the vice head of curriculum by conducting an evaluation directly into the LMS by holding monthly meetings related to online learning.
