Abstract

Book sales for a publication are the spearhead in the activities of a publishing, without sales activities, the publishing institution will be paralyzed or die. This study aims to create a book selling system called Point of Shell (POS). This POS information system uses the Waterfall Model as the method of manufacture, data collection is carried out by observation and direct interviews. The use of this waterfall model makes it possible to carry out the system development process, especially POS one by one at each stage, thereby minimizing errors that may occur. The results of the study were tested for validity with the Black Box Testing test model, from the results of this test the POS system was declared valid and proven to be able to help MUP publishers to carry out book sales transactions and sales documentation.
