Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest Muslim population in the world, according to data from The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Center RISSC (2021). (Kusnandar, 2021). Reporting from Kompas.com, because Indonesia is the largest Islamic country and is an example and a milestone for the economic progress of Muslims, the founder and first president of the UAE (United Arab Emirates) Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan gave the construction of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Indonesia, precisely in the city of Solo. with the hope that this mosque is not only a place of worship but will become a center for Islamic studies and a religious tourism destination in the city of Solo. With this potential, there is an opportunity to design a "Museum of the History of Islamic Civilization in Surakarta with an Eco-Memorable Building Approach" to provide a place for educational tourism for the community through the design of the Museum of the History of Islamic Civilization with an Eco-Memorable Building approach in order to raitowareness and interest. of the importance of knowing and understanding the History of Islamic Civilization with the concept of ecological architecture in accordance with the design process begins with literature studies, location studies, comparative studies, and data processing through analysis of physical and non-physical data obtained. Finally, determine the design concept as a design direction. The results of the design are to form the Museum of the History of Islamic Civilization in Surakarta with an Ecological approach on the exterior and a memorable Building in the layout of the Museum.
