Abstract

ARI (Acute Respiratory Infection) is most often found in children under five years of age or toddlers because at that age the immune system is still in the developmental stage, so it is easy to contract infectious disease. The purpose of this literature review is the determine the factors associated with ARI disease in children under five. The method used is a literature review using a database, namely Google Schoolar with the keyword “Factors related to ARI disease in toddlers”. In searching for journals, the author uses inclusion and exclusion criteria. Inclusion criteria are appropriate title screening, the journal used is a national article, then the journal has ISSN clarity, and the journal has been published in the last 10 years. The conclusions in this literature review are as many as 5 journals explaining that there is a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding, smoking behavior of family members, immunization status, nutritional status, occupancy density, ventilation area, house ceiling, wall type and biomass fuel with ARI disease in toddlers so that there is a need for outreach to the community especially for mother of toddlers as an effort to prevent ARI in toddlers.
