Abstract

The role of agriculture in the economy in our country, significantly as a producer of food ingredients, is increasingly varied following the growing demand from other sectors, as a producer of raw materials and non-agricultural product markets, as a source of foreign exchange in an increasingly liberal global competition, as a source of investment, and as a source of investment. source of labor suppliers. The food crop mostly cultivated by farmer households is rice as a rice producer. This study aims to estimate the factors that affect rice production, with variables consisting of Rice Field Area, Seeds, Machine Labor, and Fertilizers affecting Rice Production in Klaten Regency in 2019-2020 using panel data regression with the Fixed Effects approach. Models (FEM). This study uses secondary data obtained through the Department of Agriculture of Klaten Regency. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the area of harvested land had a negative effect on rice production, while seeds, machine labor, and fertilizers did not affect rice production. To increase the production of lowland rice business that occurs at the farmer level in Klaten Regency, it is hoped that farmers can increase lowland rice production and farmers' income by expanding the planting area of the lowland rice business. It is hoped that the local Klaten Regency government should play an active role in providing inputs for an increase in rice paddy production in Klaten Regency to increase rice production.
