Abstract

The city of Surakarta is one of the major cities located in central Java, with a fairly high population. The development of the population in Surakarta is influenced by immigrants, one of whom is a student to study. The student apartment becomes one of the suitable residences. Apartment is a room or several rooms or rooms intended for residence. Apartments are owned by individuals or a business entity with units rented to the community at a certain price and period of time. The relationship between the environment and various sectors of activities in the apartment is very close. A green building is a building that minimizes natural resources, uses space wisely, reduces environmental pollution, and maintains a healthy and comfortable indoor air environment from planning and development during construction to operation and maintenance throughout its useful life. The green building concept significantly reduces energy consumption through various passive and active design methods.
