Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation and stress on employee performance at the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat office, to analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance at the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat office and to analyze the effect of work stress on the performance of the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat office employees and to to analyze the effect of work stress on the performance of the employees of the Regional Secretariat of Sukoharjo Regency . The type of research conducted by the researcher is quantitative research. The population in this study were employees at the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat. The sampling technique is nonprobability sampling: simple random sampling, so the sample in this study was adjusted to 80 employees who work at the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat. This research uses SPSS IBM 25.0. The analysis used includes instrument testing, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing. The results of the study stated that the partial test showed that work motivation had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat office and work stress had a negative and significant effect on employee performance at the Sukoharjo Regency Regional Secretariat office
