Abstract
The covid-19 pandemic has brought enormous changes to all aspects of human life, one of which is in the aspect of education, especially higher education. Students have to adapt to a new condition in the learning process, which initially learning was done face-to-face turned into online learning. The many obstacles and difficulties faced cause students to experience anxiety. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between spirituality and anxiety in college students during the covid-19 pandemic. The hypothesis proposed by the researcher is that there is a negative relationship between spirituality and anxiety in students during the covid-19 pandemic. The sample in this study was 204 students with subject criteria, namely students and active students who were studying at state universities and private universities in Solo Raya and were willing to fill out the scale. This quantitative research uses measuring instruments in the form of an anxiety scale and a spirituality scale. Data analysis using product moment. Result obtaineddata analysis of rxy = – 0.267 and Sig. (1-tailed) of 0.000 (p < 0.01), so that spirituality has a very significant negative relationship with anxiety. The results of the categorization of the anxiety variable is low, while the spirituality variable is high. The effective contribution given in this study was small at 7.12%. The results of this study can be used by students in dealing with anxiety during the covid-19 pandemic by carrying out spirituality activitiesand can be a source of reference for further research.
