Abstract
In some industrial processes, they still use the conventional method, namely doing calculations and monitoring manually by looking directly at the conditions in the field. Likewise, the constant speed of the conveyor belt in the production process will result in inefficient and not optimal output. In this study, the researcher aims to simplify the process of calculating and monitoring the amount of production and how to control the speed of the conveyor belt to be more efficient. Therefore, researchers use Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) which are very useful to facilitate monitoring and controlling conditions in the field as well as proximity sensors that function to help calculate goods. To control the speed of the conveyor belt by providing input on the Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) through the Human Machine Interface (HMI). on field conditions. As well as the speed of the conveyor belt that can be adjusted as needed by changing the frequency, so that the power and electricity costs incurred are more efficient, ie each frequency is reduced by 3 Hz, will save power up to 43.62 W/hour and electricity costs reach Rp 48.63/ o'clock.
