Abstract
Introduction : A growth can be influenced by one form of activity. Children's activities need to be considered by parents, ranging from learning, playing, children's eating patterns, to their daily activities that require continuous monitoring. The COVID-19 pandemic has made all learning activities in schools suspended and diverted online so that children receive less stimulus in physical activity. Therefore, the role of parents is the closest teacher when online learning is carried out at home. Objective: to determine the relationship between parental work and the daily physical activity of school-age children. Methods: This type of research is a quantitative research with a descriptive correlative design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 98 parents of school-age children in the Baki Health Center area, Sukoharjo. The sampling technique used Multistage Random Sampling in collecting research samples. The study was conducted in February-May 2022. Data collection using a questionnaire. The validity test in this study used 30 respondents, with the result that 10 question items were declared valid because r count > from rtable (0.361) with a significance level of 5%. Then for the results of the reliability test, the result is 0.799, which means that the questionnaire used is declared reliable. Data analysis using chi-square test. Results: That 10 (10.2%) children have a low level of physical activity, 64 (65.3%) children have a sufficient level of physical activity, and 24 (24.5%) children have a good level of physical activity. The results of data analysis showed a significant value (p) there was no relationship between father's work and the level of physical activity of children with a significance value of p = 0.452 (> 0.05). while there is a unidirectional relationship between the mother's work on the level of physical activity of children with a significance value of p = 0.040 (<0.05) Conclusion: there is a relationship between the type of mother's work and the child's activities during the pandemi, while there is no relationship between father's work and children's activities during the pandemi
