Abstract

Economic growth is a process that reflects the dynamic aspects of an economy that describes how an economy develops or changes from time to time. This study aims to examine the factors that influence economic growth in the Regency/City of Central Java Province for the period 2016 to 2020. The analytical method used in this study is panel data regression analysis. The cross section data in this study covers 35 districts/cities in Central Java Province (i = 35), while the time series data is annual data, from 2016 to 2020 (t = 5). The results showed that the Fixed Effect Model was chosen as the best estimated model. Urbanization, gender equality and infrastructure development were found to have a positive effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the proportion of female workers and investment was found to have no effect on economic growth.
