Abstract
Boom cylinder serves to move the boom in the maximum position by utilizing hydraulic oil. The boom cylinder is a hydraulic actuator located on the boom, its function is to move the boom up and down. This cylinder is the same as the arm cylinder and bucket cylinder. However, an excavator generally has two boom cylinders, considering that the boom cylinder lifting load is the heaviest compared to other cylinders. The damage that occurs to the Boom Cylinder Boom on the Excavator PC200-8 unit is the oil seal on the cylinder head, where the cylinder head oil seal has been damaged or worn which causes a leak in the Cylinder Boom. The damage that occurs to the cylinder head oil seal disrupts the performance of the cylinder boom, thus hampering the performance of the PC200-8 Excavator. Repair of the Cylinder Boom damage is to replace the oil seal on the cylinder head or commonly referred to as reseal using a new seal from Komatsu.
