Abstract
Water is an important life resource for humans, plants, animals and other living things. If water is not managed properly, it will cause problems that are detrimental to public facilities and infrastructure as has happened on Jalan Solo-Purwodadi STA 14+000-16+000, Kalijambe District, Sragen. During the rainy season, a flood disaster struck the Jalan Solo-Purwodadi STA 14+000-16+000 which disrupted the activities of the local community with the water level reaching 15 cm. Flooding is caused by overflow of water from drainage channels due to high intensity rain. In this study the method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The steps taken in this method are conducting field surveys, collecting data, analyzing data, and interpreting the results of the analysis for information on making conclusions. From the results of the research analysis that has been done, the rainfall intensity from the Kalijambe station data with return periods of 02 years, 05 years and 10 years is 115.144 mm, 136.261 mm and 149.373 mm. From the condition of each drainage channel on Jalan Solo-Purwodadi STA 14+000-16+000, there are drainage channels that do not meet the discharge capacity, namely the left and right STA 15+000-16+000 drainage channels. The overflow that occurs is caused by high rainfall intensity and the presence of sediment, wild plants and garbage that interfere with the performance of the drainage channel.
