Abstract

Prevention of the risk of complications is control that is carried out to prevent damage to one or more of the organs of the body. This study aims to determine the level of risk associated with preventing the risk of complications in patients with hypertension at the Pajang Health Center Surakarta. The importance of preventing complications of hypertension is expected to reduce morbidity and mortality. This type of research uses quantitative research. This research design is a descriptive study. The population of this study was hypertension sufferers with an age range of 35-60 years at Pajang Health Center Surakarta with a population of 886. The sampling method used non-probability sampling method using purposive sampling technique based on questionnaire categories. The results showed that the level of risk of complications experienced by the majority of patients was at moderate risk with several efforts made by most respondents and obtained a moderate category of 71 respondents (78.9%) from 90 respondents.
