Abstract

The fisheries sector is one sector that has considerable potential for the economy in Indonesia. As a leading sector in the economy, fisheries will be very important to be developed to pursue economic growth. This study aims to determine the effect of monetary policy (amount of money supply, interest rates and inflation) on the output of the fishing industry sector in Indonesia. The analytical tool used in this research is Ordinary Least Square (OLS) regression analysis. The data that will be used in this study is time series data with an annual frequency from 1995 to 2019. The results of this study indicate that the money supply and interest rate variables have a positive and significant effect on the output of the fisheries sector in Indonesia in the period 1995-2019. Meanwhile, inflation has a negative effect on the output of the fisheries sector in Indonesia in the period 1995-2019.
