Abstract
Basic needs are things that must be met so that life can continue. In social life there are those who are well off and there are those who experience difficulties, therefore one of the ways taken by people who have difficulty in meeting their needs is debt. This study aims to determine the practice of debt and debt ethics according to the perspective of Islamic law. This research is deductive qualitative research sourced from field research. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. From this research, it is known that the practice of debt and receivables of the Donowangun village community is in accordance with debt ethics according to the perspective of Islamic law. However, it is expected to be able to record it to avoid debt disputes.
