Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that can affect the readiness to implement halal certification, especially for packaged food SMEs in Surakarta and can provide recommendations for business actors who will apply halal certificates. The survey was conducted in 46 packaged food SMEs. Factor analysis was carried out using the Multiple Linear Regression method on SPSS 25.0 software which is a method to determine whether there is a significant influence between the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y). Based on the research analysis, it can be concluded that the independent variables in the form of information (X1), human resources (X2), production process (X3), organization (X4) and finance (X5) can have a significant effect together on the readiness to implement halal certificates (Y) amounted to 61.3% and the remaining 38.7% was influenced by other factors outside this research so that recommendations were obtained that could be made by food MSME actors in preparing for the application of halal certificates.
