Abstract

Telkom assigns internship students, in this case the Event Management Officer, to be able to contribute and be directly involved in managing the course of an event, as well as carrying out the control function of vendors, partners, and parties involved so that the quality of work and events can be maintained properly. The process in the distribution of each project in PT. Telkom Indonesia uses the Sprint method. The Sprint method is a method with a time provision to work on projects and the challenge of achieving each Sprint, One Sprint is given 2 weeks to work on and in this method the apprentices are given two choices between becoming innovators or experts. The lessons that the writer can take during the internship include: 1) Managing a program/project/event by disrupting the PR management process starting from the fact finding, planning, communicating to evaluating stages. 2) Establish relationships and maintain good communication with fellow interns, as well as with supervisors/mentors (internally). And how to approach and negotiate with potential clients until an agreement is reached (win-win solutions). 3) Train and hone public soccer skills by hosting an event program.
