Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on stock prices at the retail company PT. Matahari Department Store Tbk. The type of research used is quantitative research using secondary data from PT. Matahari Department Store Tbk, namely the annual financial report obtained from www.idx.co.id. This research uses descriptive statistical analysis method, normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test. Analysis of the data used is using the SPSS version 24 application program. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that: (1) in 2019 before the pandemic there was a significant difference in the stock price of PT. Matahari Department Store Tbk. (2) in 2020 when there was a pandemic there was a significant difference in the share price of PT. Matahari Department Store Tbk. (3) in 2021 after the pandemic subsided there was a significant difference in the share price of PT. Matahari Department Store Tbk.
