Abstract
Background : Hypertension is a major health problem worldwide which is characterizes by an increase in systolic blood pressure 140 mmHg and diastolic 90 mmHg. Hypertension is a deadly disease or commonly known as the silent killer. Seccesfull management of hypertension sufferers requires the importance of high self-control to control high blood pressure and good self-management, one of which is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a person’s belief in his ability to achieve a desired success. Objective : To determine the level of self-efficacy patient with hypertension at the Jatipuro Health Center, Karanganyar Regency Method : This study uses a quantitive method with a descriptive approach. The research sample was 45 respondents with hypertension who were registered as members of PROLANIS (Chronic Disease Management Program) at Jatipuro Health Center with the sampling technique using the total sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate analysis and data collection used a research instrument in the form of a Self-Efficacy To Manage Hypertension questionnaire with a total of 13 question item. Results : From this study, it was found that the self-efficacy level of the most respondents was 24 respondents had low self-efficacy with a percentage (53.3%) and 21 respondents had hi gh self-efficacy with a percentage (46,7%). Conclusion : The characteristic of the respondents are mostly female, aged 61-70 years, the majority are farmers, uneducated and have suffed ≥ 5 years. Keywords : Hypertension, Self-Efficacy
