Abstract

The focus of this research is to examine the review of Islamic law regarding the unpaid work from home payroll system due to the COVID-19 pandemic from an Islamic point of view. This type of research is qualitative, while the approach used is descriptive normative. The method used is secondary data and uses descriptive data analysis. The results showed that the payroll system was divided into two, namely, Ujrah al-mithli (same salary) and Ujrah al-musamma (mentioned salary). The application of unpaid salaries while working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic is not in accordance with the Islamic view, because salaries are not paid to workers on the grounds that the company cannot provide salaries due to this impact.
