Abstract
This study aims to determine: 1) the reasons why lecturers provide structured personal task and 2). the role of structured personal task in the Student Banking Accounting Course. This study use a qualitative type, with a descriptive design. The research subjects are banking accounting lecturers and the students who have completed banking accounting. Data collection techniques: interviews and documentation. The data validity technique is triangulation, data analysis technique use data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. The research showed that the reasons why lecturers provide structured personal tasks are to maximize the limited time both offline/online, to train and help each other, control, and measure understanding abilities, as an application practice in calculating banking accounting. Meanwhile, the role of structured personal tasks added insight and, trained self-learning, a sense of responsibility, measured the level of reasoning and understanding ability, facilitated understanding of the material, and trained soft skills for practice. The conclusion of this research is that there is a structured personal task given by the lecturer to help students to complete banking accounting courses.
