Abstract

The coronavirus pandemic is becoming a worldwide problem, causing worry, fear and stress which are a natural and normal reaction to the changing and uncertain situations that everyone experiences. This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and anxiety in parents facing the COVID-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were parents consisting of fathers and mothers who were facing the COVID-19 pandemic, totaling 111 respondents. This research method uses a quantitative approach. The data collection tool uses a Likert model with a social support scale and an anxiety scale. The analysis technique used is Pearson's Product Moment. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that the correlation coefficient is r = -0.311 with p=0.001 (p<0.05) which states a negative correlation between social support and anxiety in parents facing the covid-19 pandemic.
