Abstract

This study focused on the picture of life's richness in post-accident badminton athletes, becoming recipients of disability. The purpose of this study is to know, understand and learn from badminton athletes who have disabilities that are not congenital. In the research, there is an informant, an accomplished badminton athlete who crashed into an accident and caused him to be physically malleable. The informant found life worth living while fighting for his ideals. The study used qualitative research methods with interpretive analysis approaches. Data was obtained by conducting in-depth interviews directly. The results of this study found and derived a sense of meaning in life based on the insights and experiences experienced by informants. The meaning of life becomes a nonphysical force in suffering that determines the attainment of a state of happiness in the informant. Among the factors that have contributed to the success of obtaining life's sustenance based on research found was self-acceptance, that is, accepting all that God has given us wholeheartedly (accepting destiny). The subject s can accept himself for what he is as a maladjusted individual and recognize the circumstances of his life, and focus on achieving goals and enjoying the process. This has enabled him to continue to excel as a badminton player of the disabled on both national and international levels. Keywords: athletes, disability, post-accident, survival
