Abstract

Employees are expected to be able to complete their work demands such as high workload, work stress, work fatigue so that they are able to compete and increase productivity at work. Job crafting training is one way to reduce burnout, because job crafting helps employees to be active and proactive in their work. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of job crafting training to reduce burnout on employees. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Research subjects were 28 employees of PT. Central Java Semarang CDM which was divided into experimental and control groups. Burnout measurements were made using the Maslach Burnout inventory (MBI) scale. Data were analyzed by ANOVA mixed design analysis. Burnout score interaction test results between the experimental and control groups were crossed with the measurement time score (pretest-posttest-follow-up) showing an F-value of 52.977 and a significance of 0.000. The effective contribution given by job crafting training in reducing burnout is 85.5% for the experimental group. This means that job crafting training can be used to reduce employee burnout.
