Abstract

Packaging its basic function as a protector of a product has several important roles in marketing means, one of which is by giving an impact to increase sales. SMME Plenet is one of the packaged food SMME in Boyolali which produces cassava chips balung kethek. SMME Plenet in the sale of packaged food products uses clear plastic packaging with a simple brand inside. This study uses the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method to increase the production of SMME Plenet by providing added value to product packaging based on market demand, as well as developing packaging aids. The result of this research is a tool for packaging and packaging with aluminum foil material with a new design in the category of function, aesthetics, and information listed. The results of the measurement of quality assessment for new packaging with comparison to old packaging have an assessment scale for new packaging of 4.48 and old packaging of 3.15, and it is indicated by the percentage of respondents' interest in buying new packaging by 57% and old packaging by 43%.
